I built this page to open on the two of you, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a decoration.

The problem you have is not that your food is unknown. It is that you are. Search this restaurant and the internet mostly still returns the previous owners' business. Your Facebook page is still titled Toki Teriyaki two years after you renamed the place. Restaurant Guru runs two separate unclaimed pages for this one address. The dead name is still on Yellow Pages, DoorDash and four menu sites.

A page that opens with the previous owners' name is a page about them. A page that opens with yours is about you. That is the whole reason the first thing on here is your names rather than a plate of teriyaki.

A couple who ran Ginza Sushi, closed it, and came back to take this place on is a better story than anything a menu can say. Right now there is not one picture of you anywhere online. Say no and that frame stays empty, no hard feelings.

Every dish above came off your own online ordering menu. I tidied four spellings that are live on it right now (Funtain to Fountain, MIso to Miso, H10-.3 to H10, and CK spelled out as Chicken) so nobody thinks the page made them up. Tell me if I got any of them wrong.

I did not re-sort your menu. It was tempting to split it into a Japanese column and a Korean one, and I did not, because that would be me rewriting your menu on a page with your name on it. The order above is yours.

Now the part you should see. Search your restaurant and one of the first menus a stranger finds is on allmenus.com. It is titled Toki Teriyaki, it carries this address, and the phone number on it is (541) 926-5138, which reaches the family you bought the place from. There is no date anywhere on the page.

And it is not only out of date. It is a different restaurant. That page shows none of your Korean food. No bibimbap, no bulgogi, no happy bowls, no kimchi, no takoyaki. It lists a salmon dish and a long combo section I cannot find anywhere on your own ordering system. Somebody can read the whole thing and never learn what you actually cook.

You did not put it there and you cannot edit it. What you can do is have a page of your own that says the right thing, so it is your menu people find first.

There are no prices on this page, and none of theirs either. I have not stood in your dining room and read your board, so I am not going to print a number I cannot stand behind. Give me the current prices and they go straight into the blocks above.

Every frame is empty and that is on purpose, not laziness. There are sixty or so photographs of your food online and every one I could find was taken by a customer, on Yelp or a review site. Those belong to the person who took them, so putting them on a page with your name on it would be doing to somebody else roughly what allmenus did to you.

I looked for pictures that are actually yours and could not find any. Your online ordering page has no photos on it at all. The one image on the Albany visitors website is a file named "screenshot" showing short ribs on a board in a garden, and I do not think it is your food.

Nothing on this page is a review I wrote. I found these on a directory that mirrors Google rather than on Google itself, which would not load for me, so give them a glance before this goes anywhere public.

You will notice there is no star rating and no review count. I left them off deliberately. The number I have is a day old and came off a listing card, and the two sites that mirror your reviews do not agree with each other on the count today. I would rather show you three real sentences than one number I did not personally read.

These hours came from your own online ordering system, because it is the only source that comes from you. It says you open at 11 on Saturday and stay open until 8 on Monday.

Every directory I checked says something different. All of them put your Saturday opening at noon, so you may be giving away the first hour of a downtown Saturday to people who looked you up. All of them close you at 7:30 on Monday. And two of them, Restaurantji and one of your two Restaurant Guru pages, say you are closed on Saturday altogether.

Before I trust any of this, tell me which set is right. Hours are the one thing on a website that sends somebody to a locked door.

Check the suite number too. I have written Suite 101 because that is what the directories say. Your own ordering system lists the address with no suite on it at all, so I have not been able to confirm 101 from anything that came from you.

And there is nothing online that is actually yours. No domain, and the ordering page is rented from your card reader company, which is fine until the day you change card readers. Albany's own visitor website lists that rented page as your website. You have done the hard part, which is running a restaurant people drive across town for. There is just nothing on the other end of it with your name on the deed.
